What We Do

Every other Saturday, we drive into Philadelphia and walk the streets, meeting and hanging out with houseless people, bringing them a bagged lunch for the day as well as any clothing or blankets or toiletries we may have.

Each month, we set up shop on the side of JFK Boulevard with battery powered hair clippers, and give out free hair cuts and beard trims to any who would like one.

We also go into the city for every houseless person's birthday that we are aware of, with a homemade birthday cake for them to celebrate their day.  Most times, its been years since anyone has even recognized their birthday, let alone made them a cake to celebrate.

We also make special trips for certain holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, or Easter.  Thanksgiving is the closest holiday now, and we are looking to go down with a group of people to bring hot turkey sandwiches, blankets, toiletries, and Free Starbucks Coffee for lunch on Thanksgiving Day.

Monthly "Feasts" are a new part of our outreach.  We set up a big long table in a close friend's apartment, who actually used to be houseless himself, and eat together at the Lord's table.  Houseless people and those with houses.  All of God's children together, with no discrimination.
